In case you were wondering…

How many bobbins can one spool of Gutermann 1000m thread wind? *not a sponsored post* I just really like Gutermann for the quality & longevity of their thread. I’ve only ever used it, even though I’ve tried other brands, but I come back to this one. I made costumes for a show about 25 years ago, and they are STILL going strong, after literally thousands of washes. The fabric wears out before the seams do. So when I quilt or sew anything, I’m using Gutermann. …fun fact….I’ve been keeping all…

The Year of Not Buying Fabric

You guys.Omg. You guys. It’s three quarters  through July and I HAVEN’T BOUGHT ANY NEW FABRIC. (yet) No really. I love MAIL!

These days; all it seems we get in the mail are bills and flyers. But I have a secret confession.     I love mail. I love receiving it, I love sending it, I love mail. AIEEE!!! There it is. My horrible confession. Maybe it started as a kid when in 4th grade we started Pen Pal programs with kids at another school in the US, and then continued over the years corresponding with friends made at summer music school; who knows. I just love getting mail. There’s nothing more homey…
